Start eating porridge. It really is that simple. So many of us wonder what to eat for breakfast every day. Some eat a fatty fry with eggs and bacon. This is the fast route to heart disease and an early grave. Others eat processed cereals high in sugar, this is the fast route to obesity and an early grave. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and if you make it porridge then you are enuring you are making that meal count. Of course, you don’t have to just eat oats to benefit from their amazing properties. Read on to learn one other way to benefit from the brilliance that is oats.

There are many reasons why eating oats is excellent for your health. They are a great source of carbs and fiber and their nutrient content is impressive. The vitamin, mineral, and anti-oxidant content is very high. This essentially means they are one of the most nutrient-dense foods that you can eat.

Oats contain a high amount of beta-glucan. While that may not mean anything to you, it increases your gut health, makes you feel fuller (so you eat less crap throughout the day), and reduces cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

While oats are a great part of your diet they should also be part of your skincare routine. While you can spend $30 on breakfast if you choose to you could also spend $2 on a large pack of oats and have porridge for the week. The same is true of skincare. You could spend $100 on skincare products or you could spend $2 on oats and be able to do amazing things.

This may sound like another fad but the truth is that this has been well known for some time and I guarantee that if you have a lot of skin products on your shelf that some of them will have oats as an ingredient.

Oats are considered to be very good because they have fantastic soakage. Ever wondered how oats and water turn into delicious porridge, because oats have fantastic soakage, of course. If you are someone with oily skin then oats can soak up that excess oil from your face and leave you looking radiant. You may think then that oats are a bad idea if you have dry skin as it could try you out further. In fact, oats are great for dry skin too because of the anti-inflammatory property it contains. Oats are for everyone.

If you want to have clearer skin simply take a tablespoon of oats and mix it with the same amount of flour. If you want you can add some honey or rose water to add other benefits but if you don’t have those ingredients then don’t worry, oats and flour are perfect. Apply the paste onto your face and let it sit there for about 15 minutes. Rinse it off and pat dry. Your new face is ready.

If dry skin is your concern then take two tablespoons of oats, one of honey, and some milk. Create another paste and ensure it is pretty thick. 15 minutes will suffice here as well.

Finally, if your skin is oily, there is also an easy treatment. Take two tablespoons of oatmeal, and some lemon juice. Make a paste. Apply it over the face but avoid your eyes and lips. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.

If oats aren’t permanently in your pantry then you are not doing your shopping right. This is the most essential item that we have available today and you need to eat, and spread oats on your body, more.
